Our friends at the Podomatic.com podcast “In Country: Marvel Comics’ The ‘Nam” have just posted a special hour-long program featuring an extensive interview with KATUSHA and Zenith Graphic Histories writer/artist Wayne Vansant. Host Tom Panarese has been chronicling the issue-by-issue publication of Marvel’s highly regarded Vietnam War series THE ‘NAM, featured work by Grand Design Communications clients Doug Murray, who created the series, and Wayne Vansant, who became regular artist on the series following the departure of original artist Michael Golden. We were happy to help connect Wayne with Tom and the result is an audio experience as entertaining as it is informative. Panarese writes, “This time around, I take another break from regular coverage of The ‘Nam for an extra-sized episode where I talk to Wayne Vansant, who was the penciller on The ‘Nam for more than 50 issues and has a long career writing and penciling comics and graphic novels of his own. We discuss his career, his work on The ‘Nam, and his most recent work, Katusha, Girl Soldier of the Patriotic War, a story about the war between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany during World War II.” To listen to the podcast visit the “In Country: Marvel Comics’ The ‘Nam” page on Podomatic.com or just click on the plug-in below:
